REET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit:
- There is no upper age limit to appear for the REET exam itself.
- However, for the REET Mains recruitment, the age limit is 21 to 40 years as of January 1, 2027. Age relaxations are applicable for reserved categories as per Rajasthan Government norms.
Educational Qualification:
For Level-1 (Primary Teacher – Classes 1 to 5):
- Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and passed or be in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Alternatively, other qualifications like a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) or a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) are also accepted.
For Level-2 (Upper Primary Teacher – Classes 6 to 8):
- Candidates must be a graduate with at least 50% marks and have passed or be in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).
- Other qualifications, such as a 4-year B.A./B.Sc. Ed. or B.A. Ed./B.Sc. Ed., are also valid.
Note: For the REET Mains 2025, only candidates who have already qualified for the REET 2024 exam are eligible to apply.
